"PhotoReading at 25,000 words per minute." i have no time to think of second thought but immediately collect the ticket from the counter. The title was really eyes catching. The questions as "Are you a slow reader?", "Do you still read the slow old-fashioned way?", "Do you forget things you read last week?", God, all these questions straight has my beady eyes on it and descry the details printed on the leaflet. These are all the questions that haunted me for so long. Thank you God, eventually You let me see the light of hope.
The powwow was conducted by a very young brilliant elegance lady. she walked the walk to show the audience hows the mind and eyes works when we try to read by inviting all the clienteles to play a small mind game. She shown to us the 5 Steps of the photoreading process:
1. To prepare by stating a clear PURPOSE and getting into an ideal state of mind for reading
2. PREVIEW the materials so that your brain learns how to sort the information that will soon be absorbed by photoreading
3. brain absorbs information through photoreading
4. variety of ACTIVATION techniques will helps you to process and apprehend information
5. rapid reading allows oneself to greater aprehension
Step 1 : Goal to achieve
to know what is the PURPOSE to read, or setting a GOAL for the reading material
to create Awareness
Step 2: Overall idea
Preview to get the overal idea whats the reading material about
To familiarize with the material
Step 3: All-around
photoflip to gather the information, read by flipping in order to collect resources
To gain the knowledge from the reading material
Step 4: Postviews
where you posts questions to yourself to check your understanding
To audit your expertise level of photoreading
Step 5: Activation
you can start to master the photoreading

not sure to derive the details because by that time alot of disturbances happening @#$^%
candidly, one hour session no doubt is a pressing on time. there is nothing in minutiae but brief touch-n-go. the fiasco for me was the noisiness from the children and personally, i felt a bit pester with the advertisement that kept on popping out on screen. Time flies when i am enjoying the parley. Hopefully there will be some more events alike but i do appreciate if it were to be held during school vacation. it worth my weight in gold.
