Just work harder!
i am so glad that some of u guys treat me as your mentor, but honestly, after all i am just an ordinary human, i am still in the process of learning, even you are younger than me, it doesn't mean that i cannot learn from you. Learning is a bi-directional process, the teacher will be the learner, and the learner is also a teacher.
i understand that sometimes we just feel that everything just seems to be so unfair, you work so hard, all the sweat, the tears, and the blood, but at the end you just cannot get what you expecting for. trust me, i been through all this just like you, i think every human will go through this, and in the future, sure we will face it again and again, it is a never ending story until the day you rest in very peace. But why you want to doubt about yourself and your ability? why you want to compare so much to the others? it is good to try to become a better man, but that doesn't mean that you have to compare to everyone you know! everyone is so unique, and everyone has his/her own specialty, you just cannot be an all rounded person.
You can consider it as "breakdown", but my advice is, since you use the word "breakdown", why not think of a way to change the word to "break-through"? it is not a cancer with no cure, so try to find a solution and overcome it! come on dude, you know there is always a way out for everything, if you cannot solve it alone, then you know what should you do.
I admitted as you said, nowadays people will scrutinize your cert and qualification before they offer any job to you. this is real life! it is time for you to face the real world! at home you are prince charming to your parents, but in real world you are no body to anyone! the company will not collapse if they don't hire you, the earth will not stop revolving just because of you!! That is why i keep telling you guys : "must at least get a degree for yourself, even later you are self-employ."
if you want to buy something and in front of you have one person with just SPM cert, and another one with degree, both having same years of working experience, who will you consult? for me sure i will consult the one with degree, the reason is simple, he got a degree! that means in term of knowledge, analytical skill, the way he can derive the facts, the presentation, the confidence, the professional judgment and the advice that he can provide to you should be much more better than the SPM guy because he got all the professional training when he studied through the degree course. I am not look down on those with lower qualification, but i just want to tell truth, this is how people judge on the others. even i myself also is also one of the kind.
don't judge a book from its cover, this apply to people as well, we cannot judge you from your outlook. but the easiest way to judge the knowledge from a stranger is by study through his certs. that is the very basic and easiest and fastest way to get to know a person. this is the first step. the second step is through interview and conversation. from there they will know how much you know and how much you don't know. until this stage they can only access your knowledge, but your working attitude and your technical skill they cannot judge from your speech. they will know or make judgment after you have commence your job and during the probation they will observe you and judge you. another factor is "how well can you mix with the others? including the superior and inferior? can you mix well with everyone?"
Technical skill is the one you learn through the practical/workshop, but i told you guys before, you need to develop the "SOFT SKILL" in order to let you survive and out stand yourself among the rest. try to be humble and don't try to show off during working, that will bring no benefit to you but will only bring trouble to you.
I am still developing my technical skill and learning the soft skills as well. it is a life long learning process and it will never come to an end. so do appreciate everyone surrounding you and always try to seek for advices especially those seniors. i still believe in Anita dictum: if you work harder, you will get luckier.
