did you ever wonder why people think or thought that we should know everything? merely because we are older? older = wiser? this equation never scientifically proven. it is quite true that as older person, we are assumed to know more than the youngsters. the question is, if we never been expose to the particular field of knowledge, we are just like the newbie, knowing nothing, nothing at all.

my prof once told me:" the more you know, the more you know that you don't know." i gawked at him with a suspicious look. he is a professor, for me, he SHOULD know everything and anything. before i manage to vocalize anything, he continuing to say that:"when you find one answer, don't be happy, because you just figure another 10 questions." what on earth was he trying to tell me? i was lost. anon, i started to apprehend what he told me was true,he made me realized that until the day you kick the basket, then only you will stop learning.

frankly, all of us loathed him since the first day we met him. you know why? when my classmate asked him an question, the returned answer :"don't ask stupid question! (the tone is like yelling at that time), use your brain to think before ask!" God, he is a bigot. he is fretful, peevish, cantankerous, cranky, irascible and petulant. all the time we only study his tome, rationale is simple, we are beleaguer and distress that might fail his subject. his attitude is so inimical to bear. he is like the bomb that can fulminate at any time. handling him is more tiring than handling 10 dogs at one time.

Albeit we disincline his temper, nonetheless his knowledge is astonishing. his ebullient percuss all of us. he can scrutinize everything and decipher in great length detail to ingrain the apprehension in our mind. his knowledge is awesome. lamentably his IQ is contrast with his EQ, or else he will be flawless.

he trained us to appreciate the knowledge we gained through all the hardship. he made us realized that there is nothing as windfall or free lunch. you can never expect any answer from his tutorial, because he never have any. you have to give 101% concentration during his class and burning both ends of candle everyday and night to arm yourself before attending his lesson. you will be humiliated if you cannot answer his question. we will never appreciate anything if we get it free or easily. only through all the sweat, tear and blood then we will treasure and bethink forever.

i am grateful to have him as my lecturer. he never fails to expose us to the new knowledge and make us realize there are still a lot for us to learn. keep his temper and attitude aside, the way he conduct the lesson is truly outlaw, but he succeeded to make us have the bit between our teeth in our study. older might be wiser, but it never bring the message that youngster is not wiser. so long as you are diligence and keen on, you will be the bee's knees. age is never a matter, but the spirit and passion.
